I made this piece a while ago because I really like the band Tenacious D but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on merch for them at the time (Plus the piece I wanted was sold out in my size anyway). So I chose to combine what I had available to me! I cut the logo out of 3 colours of heat press vinyl at work after vectorizing it in Illustrator, I got a regular black hoodie from work too. I took the hoodie apart by using a seam ripper to take off the sleeves, arm bands, pocket, and waistband. Then I used the sleeves I had pulled off as a template for the new sleeves which, of course, I crocheted using a really soft yarn. It was blue and white and I had bought it before I planned on making this sweater so it was a really nice coincidence that it matched the logo perfectly! After that it was just a matter of putting it all together: I cut the hoodie to be cropped and sewed the waistband back on, I sewed on the new crochet sleeves and attached the original arm bands to them, and I heat pressed the logo I had cut onto the front! It ended up being one of the pieces I was most proud of just because it looks so dang cool!
